A Good Death

No, this isn't something gloomy and depressing.  It is just that making goals is not the way to happiness - see the March Edition of Scientific American MIND - but there is one goal that is given is without our choosing it: what we are at the moment we cease to be, which of course could be as I write this or as you read it, or many many years hence or perhaps never if science moves so rapidly.  So the goal is just to 'be' between now and then and know the past only as the best means of knowing why we are as we are at this particular moment.
